The Flag of the Cayman Islands was adopted on 14 May 1958 after the colony was officially granted a coat-of-arms. Prior to that, the Islands had used the British flag for all official occasions. This vibrant flag is made of heavyweight SolarMax® Nylon and expertly sewn using Annin's HEAVYWEIGHT 200 DENIER NYLON fabric. The SolarMax fabric is 100% manufactured in the United States and treated with UV inhibiting chemicals to help prevent Annin flags from deteriorating in harsh sunlight.
