Bluewater Books & Charts has provided paper and electronic navigation products to mariners for over 35 years from its Fort Lauderdale, USA showroom. Bluewater is an official distributor of navigation products from many government hydrographic offices including the United Kingdom, France, Canada, USA, Cuba and Mexico.


The range of products includes paper and electronic charts and publications, navigation software, logbooks, flags, navigation instruments, safety signage, medical kits and first aid kits. The range of services includes folio management, onboard and onshore chart correction services, storage of offseason charts, passage planning and auditing for compliance with flag state navigation requirements.


Bluewater Books & Charts, along with our largeyacht division, Bluewater Superyacht Birdge Services, has given our employees the tools necesary to forge their own path in the growing maritime industry in Fort Lauderdale.

      You will be responsible for assisting customers with all their navigation needs – from paper charts to electronics. If you love computers and enjoy working with the latest software, hardware, and technology this is the place for you. Work in an environment of friendly like-minded people who are here because they love working with people in a fun, dynamic environment. Navigation is an exciting field that is constantly changing, and Bluewater needs employees that can adapt to the new technology as fast as it hits the shelves.

      Superyacht Sales Team Leader

      Skills:

      • Some experience in computer hardware with knowledge of major PC components
      • Proficient MS Windows Operating systems
      • Good communication skills both written and oral
      • Comfortable working with customers in a sales capacity
      • Able to learn new technologies, systems, and processes
      • Proficient in MS Office suite, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook

      Hours of work:

      Monday through Friday 9:00 to 5:30, Saturdays 9:00 to 1:00 or other hours and days as assigned by supervisor. Sunday and overtime work may be required during the busy season.

      Please note:

      Electronic navigation is constantly changing, so this position requires someone with the ability to keep track of industry trends and developments. This is a sales position, so a large amount of time will be spent assisting customers in making proper decisions regarding which software and charting solutions are the right fit for their needs.
