The Canadian Sailing Directions - ATL 101 (2nd Edition) covers Newfoundland, Northeast and East Coasts. Sailing Directions provides important information regarding navigation, which may not be found on charts or within other marine publications. They are intended to be read in conjunction with the charts quoted in the text. This edition is now available as Print-on-Demand (POD). POD booklets are updated through Notices to Mariners to the date of printing. For instance, ATL 101 now incorporates some 800 Notices issued since 1997 that had to be manually added to the book. The Canadian Hydrographic Service (CHS) is converting all of its Sailing Directions to the POD format in response to requests received through our Level of Service initiative.
