The Abaco Islands form the northern edge of the Bahamas, east of Palm Beach. They rest along the edge of the Little Bahama Bank some 800 miles south of Bermuda, across the open Atlantic Ocean. The main islands, Great and Little Abaco, are connected by a bridge and one can drive over 80 miles from the west near Coopers Town through the towns of Treasure Cay and Marsh Harbour to Sandy Point in the south. Disney Cruise Line’s Castaway Cay is located 9 nautical miles northwest of Sandy Point. Marsh Harbour is the third largest city in the Bahamas.

Offshore the northern coast of the main islands are many smaller, well known islands or “Cays”, pronounced “Keys” in the Bahamas. These include well known and historical places such as Green Turtle Cay, Man-O-War, Elbow Cay/Hopetown with its candy cane colored lighthouse and many others. In between these islands and the mainland is Abaco Sound, a large but protected water body custom-made for sailing and yachting, making it famous worldwide.

CANVAS FORMAT & SIZE:
Specially coated canvas that produces excellent sharpness, with a linen structure ideal for fine art reproductions. After printing, each map is hand-painted with a flexible semi-gloss coating that protects against smudging, minor wear and UV rays.

“Fine Art Canvas” image size is 20” x 32” and has a 2” white canvas border for framing or wrapping purposes. The overall size including white border is 24” x 36”.
