Each event is tailored to meet the needs of a certain group of boaters, although events can be attended and enjoyed by all. Cruisers will find that they are benefited greatly from seminars about weather, navigation and destinations, while our Large Yacht customers will find seminar topics such as onboard security beneficial. |

Bluewater's Event Series provides you with the opportunity to learn from the experts. These events are also a great forum for discussion about topics that affect boaters--weather patterns, anchoring access, changes in electronic navigation, piracy and more. At Bluewater, you can find a group of like-minded people who share your interests and your passion for boating. Light food and beverages are provided at all events, and special discounts on featured products are also offered. Join us in 2006 for adventure, social gatherings and some good old-fashioned learning! How do I find out about specific events in the Bluewater Event Series? You can bookmark this website, which will be updated as we schedule new events. You can also email Melanie Neale, Bluewater's Event Coordinator, to get on the Email Event Notification List. Should I be there early? Based on the crowd we saw at the Chris Parker event, it would be a good idea to try to arrive at Bluewater about fifteen minutes early, so you can be guaranteed to get a good seat. What does it cost? That's the best part--these events are absolutely free! Can I still get to Bluewater by dinghy? Yes, you can. As seen in the December '05 issue of Cruising World, Bluewater is still accessible by dinghy. Take your dinghy to the Southport Raw Bar, where you can dock for a minimal fee. They'll waive the fee if you buy a drink or appetizer. From there, walk south on Cordova road, across 17th Street, and you'll see us on the right, just behind Embassy Suites. Should I bring anything? You might want to bring a notepad and pen so that you can take notes, names and numbers. Also, a heavy canvas bag is recommended for carrying books back across 17th Street. What more could I possibly want to know? That's a good question! If you can think of anything else, please call Melanie at (954) 763-6533, ex 228, or send an email to mneale@bluewaterweb.com. |
